Frequently asked questions about the MPU

What exactly is tested at the MPU?
The MPU consists of three parts: a medical examination, a computer-based performance test (reaction and concentration), and the psychological interview. The interview is the decisive part — and that is exactly what we prepare you for.
How does the psychological interview work?
The assessor wants to understand how the incidents happened and what has changed since then. Memorised answers are spotted immediately. That is why we do not train empty phrases — we prepare you to explain your own development clearly and credibly. Being nervous is completely normal — what counts is the content, not your nerves.
How long does the MPU preparation take?
It depends on your case — on average around ten sessions. We set the exact roadmap together in the free initial consultation.
Can I pass the MPU on the first attempt?
Yes. With an honest review of your case and realistic interview simulations, your chances improve significantly — that is exactly what our preparation is built for.
Is the preparation fully online?
Yes, all sessions take place via video — flexible, discreet, and with no travel, wherever in Germany you live.
What happens if I do not pass the MPU?
At first, only you receive the report. You are not required to submit a negative result to the licensing authority — and you can repeat the MPU after targeted follow-up work. Of course, it is better to go in well prepared from the start.
Will my employer or family find out?
No. Both the preparation and the assessment are strictly confidential. Neither your employer nor your family is informed — what you share is entirely up to you.
When should I start preparing?
Ideally as soon as the MPU is ordered. The earlier you start, the calmer and more thoroughly we can work through your case — without time pressure right before the appointment.
